What is a retainer and what is it for?

A retainer is a splint that serves to preserve the position of the teeth after orthodontic therapy. The role of the retainer is extremely important. After removing the orthodontic braces, it is a natural reaction of the teeth to try to return to their original position. To avoid this, retainers are used.

After removing the orthodontic braces, the teeth are not in a stable position. They tend to go back to their old ways, because the tissue and bone are temporarily softened due to the intense long-term wearing of orthodontic braces. Thanks to the retainer, the tissue is strengthened and after a certain period of time, the teeth retain their new correct position.

On average, after removing the orthodontic braces, it takes about 6 months of wearing the retainer in order for the new position of the teeth to stabilize and become permanent. However, wearing the retainer does not stop there, rather it is reduced from wearing it 24 hours a day to wearing it during sleep.

The price of the retainer

We manufacture mobile transparent retainers. They are aesthetically inconspicuous, comfortable to wear, easy to clean and at night also serve as protection for the teeth against bruxism.

Since we are a manufacturer, the price with us is more favorable than in a dental office.

The price of one retainer is €50, and the price for two is €90.

You just need to make an appointment to come to the dental laboratory. We will take impressions of your teeth and the retainer is ready the same day.
