What is bruxism?

Bruxism is a strong grinding and clenching of the teeth at night while we sleep. Patients slide their lower jaw teeth on their upper jaw teeth and damage them irreversibly.

Symptoms are pain in the area:

  • jaw joint
  • masticatory muscles
  • ear
  • eye

If the symptoms are ignored, excessive tooth wear, damage to the supporting dental tissue and damage to the jaw joint occur.

How to prevent bruxism?

You can easily prevent bruxism, i.e. its consequences, with a dental splint that is intended to prevent the negative consequences of bruxism.

It is much cheaper to invest in protection against bruxism than to pay for repairs of teeth damaged by bruxism.

There is a humorous but true lesson, which says: "Nature gave you 2 teeth for free (milk and permanent), and you will pay dearly for the third!" So, in order not to pay dearly for third teeth, it is much cheaper to protect your existing teeth with splints.
